The Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) reports that at least 57 journalists and media workers have been killed in the war between Israel and Hamas: 50 Palestinian, 4 Israeli, and 3 Lebanese. The independent, nonprofit organization that promotes press freedom worldwide is also investigating numerous unconfirmed reports of other journalists being killed, detained, hurt, or threatened, and of damage to media offices and journalists’ homes.

"As of November 27, CPJ’s investigations showed at least 57 journalists and media workers were among more than 15,000 killed since the war began on October 7—with more than 14,000 deaths in the Palestinian territories of Gaza and the West Bank and 1,200 in Israel. This deadly toll is coupled with harassment, detentions, and other reporting obstructions in Gaza, the West Bank, Israel, and beyond."— CPJ reports.

Visura is profoundly concerned with the increasing number of journalists who have been killed, missing, detained, hurt, or threatened during the Israel-Hamas War. We join all peaceful efforts to ceasefire and seek diplomatic solutions. CPJ has created a list of journalists' deaths in the war.
